As we all know that Mugal Emperor Akabar changed the name of Tirthraj Prayag to Allahabad. We also know that this place is the one of the oldest habitat on earth. As per Sanatan scriptures this is the place where Bhagwan Shri Brahma performed very first yagya of this universe. Bhagwan Shri Vishnu is the chief deity of this place and present here in 12 forms, these 12 forms of Bhagwan Shri Vishnu are called as dwadash madhav. It is also belived that this is the king of holy places and rest of all holy places are originated from Prayag. This is the only one place on earth where three holy rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati are meeting together. World famous Kumbha and Magh mela are being held since last many years. This is one of the most sacred cities of Hindus.
Time has come to give back its glory by renaming this place with its original name Prayag.
