Remove Vicious Dog From Neighborhood

For the past 3-4 years, Barrett Avenue and surrounding area's in Jamestown, NY have been living under constant worry from threat of a neighborhood dog. In the red and white house on the corner of Myers and Barrett Avenue, a black dog resides with his owners and goes by the name of Shadow.

Every evening, around 5 PM after the dog warden goes home for the night, Shadow is allowed out of his house and allowed to roam free in the neighborhood. After several years, it has gotten to become more and more violent, even attacking pedestrians who are doing nothing but walking down the street. It has attacked animals, people, pets and urinated and defecated on vehicles and people's property.

People in this area have called the local Police Department for the past several years and nothing has been done about it. We have tried the mayor and gotten no response. I have finally decided to go for a petition to get this dog taken away FOR GOOD from his owners before the dog manages to kill something else or kill someone. It is a menace to this area and a danger to the safety of our people. We are sick of being ignored, we NEED safety for the people of this neighborhood! There are many children who live on this street and elderly people who cannot hope to outrun a large dog and are in danger of being mauled or worse, killed.
