Release Erica's dogs: Nyla and Ginger from custody

My name is Erica Brown and I would like to present the facts, as I know them about my dogs Ginger and Nyla. I believe my dogs are being falsely accused of biting a man and woman. I just want to state first off that I know for a fact it was not my dogs.

The incident occurred on April 18, 2008 at 12:00 pm. I keep my dogs inside my kitchen when I leave for work Monday-Friday at 9:00 am along with setting my alarm system before I leave. I was at my house all weekend even in my yard mowing my lawn on Sunday. No one came to my house about a dog incident all weekend long.

So 3 days later that following Monday morning as I was leaving for work a lady came up to my house and starts YELLING for me to open up my door. She had a huge stick that she was waving as she was yelling. So not shortly, after that, I go to try to leave and open my garage door to back out and this lady pulls up behind me and tries to block me. So I then I pull forward then try to back out into my bushes and thank goodness I was able to leave my own house. It's not everyday you have a lady yelling at your door with a huge stick. Then as I got to work I called the police and told them about how this lady who just came to my door, started yelling at me and pulling in back of me as I try to leave. Then I find out the same lady at my door had called the police claiming false accusations about my dogs and me. She stated she saw my dogs and that they looked exactly like the ones who had bitten people in my neighborhood on the 18th. When talking with the officer who took her statement he then, informed me about the Friday incident 3 days previously.

The officer stated the same lady at my door who was yelling and also claiming false witness of my dogs was not present at the time of the April 18th incident. The officer stated the victims stated in the report the day of the 18th “Saw the attacking dogs run off to the woods”. So not to my surprise the lady I had called about who came at my door who also tried to file a report on me that Monday, case was suspended. He advised me about getting a restraining order, stating she had no right on my property.

Then, I guess this lady was not happy with that so she so she calls animal control stating she found the dogs. So then the next day Animal Control contacted me stating they wanted to see my dogs and also my dogs needed to be taken in for testing. They told me If I did not allow this then I would be charged with a felony. I knew my dogs would not test for being the dogs. That Tuesday when Animal Control came they also brought the victims from the 18th incident. Then all of sudden when the victims came they obviously wanted put the blame on my dogs so they lie to Animal Control that my dogs were the dogs. That is when they took my dogs Ginger and Nyla to be locked up on false accusations with absolutely no proof. I was not aware that day they were bringing the victims of the April 18th attack over until 1 hour before Animal Control wanted to pick my dogs up.
All of sudden, my dogs get the blame …………. from a false report. How is this proof? I am not the only person in my neighborhood (That has 2 dogs).

I also have photos I took of dogs currently chained up with no fence in my neighborhood. I have a 6ft fence along with a metal 10 X 10 kennel inside my 6ft fence also keep them in my kitchen when I leave for work and set my alarm. Where is the proof MY DOGS DID IT! The witness's came to my house with no evidence. Then my dogs get falsely accused and taken to animal control.

WHO IS TO SAY THE CRAZY LADY WITH THE STICK COULD BE TRYING TO SET ME UP… THEREFORE, SHE STATED IT WAS… MY DOGS THAT WERE THE ATTACKERS OF THE VICTIMS... WHY ON EARTH WOULD SHE COME TO MY HOUSE WITH A YELLING AND BANGING AT MY DOOR WITH A STICK?

SO WITH THAT IN MIND SHE JUST PROVED BY HER ACTIONS ON WALKING IN MY YARD… THAT INDEED MY DOGS ARE NOT THE ATTACKERS. I THINK ANYBODY WHO SAW TWO VICIOUS DOGS ATTACKING A MAN OR WOMAN WOULD NOT GET OUT OF A CAR WITH A STICK AND START YELLING OPEN THE DOOR. SHE SHOULD HAVE LEFT THAT TO THE POLICE SO WITH THAT SAID SHE KNEW MY DOGS WERE NOT THE ONES SHE SAW AND HER ACTIONS SHOW THAT SHE IS LYING. I JUST SAW A LADY WITH A STICK YELLING FOR MY TO OPEN MY DOOR WHICH SCARED ME TO DEATH. SHE COULD BE MENTALLY ILL. SO THIS WHOLE FALSE BLAME ON MY DOGS STARTED FROM A MENTALLY ILL LADY WHO IN THE END REPORT WAS SUSPENDED.

I feel the witness were HAD NO PROOF EITHER. One of the witness stated, “Oh yeah I definitely remember that pink collar on Nyla! IT WAS NOT A COLLAR, BUT A HAIR TIE I PUT ON NYLA MONDAY EVENING ALONG WITH THE T-SHIRT ON GINGER. So here is the only determination of evidential proof was the pesticides, the witness stated he sprayed on the dogs. Therefore, I have in writing from a vet that pesticides should still have been able to be tested for at least 3-4 days after. Therefore, I told them to test my dogs and at first animal control told me that they were going to test for them. So Animal Control stated they tested my dogs but when the test came back negative……… then all of sudden animal control never tested them.... The lady who I am filing a restraining order and who states she saw my dogs … case was suspended. The neighbors who also witnessed the event on Monday stated they did not want to get involved. So all this whole case is based false allegations and no evidence. I have been setup by pure hate and false allegations and my poor baby girls have to pay for this. What is this world coming to……. ?? SO TWO INNOCENT DOGS THAT WERE INSIDE THE DAY OF THE INCIDENT GET THE BLAME. THERE IS NO PROOF … BUT ONLY A CASE OF MISTAKEN IDENTITY. SO HOW DID MY DOGS EVEN STAND A CHANCE…………. TO ME THAT IS IN HUMANE.

In the mean time my dogs Ginger and Nyla are developing physical and psychological trauma and it appears that the court may be waiting for me to voluntarily euthanize my dogs. My dog’s physical and mental health is deteriorating while waiting for an appeal. I have been visiting my dogs at this horrible place and you should see the way these animals are being treated. It will make you sick to your stomach how even 12-week year old puppies are being put down. Fred Forbes, is who will make the final judgment:
