Reinstate GCSD MS

- Mr. Gretzlock has been Glenwood City’s High School/Middle School principal for the past seven years. We believe Mr. Gretzlock's Principal position was personally targeted.

- ALL his performance reviews have met or exceeded the School District's performance standards. It was never communicated with him that his employment was in jeopardy prior to the recommendation given to the school board by the superintendent until after his normal contract was passed and signed on January 25, 2021.

- Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 3:23pm Superintendent (Mr. Tim Johnson), emailed the entire school board in an email with the subject line reading, "CONFIDENTIAL!!!".
Superintendent Johnson asked for a special meeting Thursday, February 11, 2021. A school board member did not call the special meeting, which does not follow the WI open meeting laws.

The Superintendent asked the board members to keep the meeting confidential and quote: " PLEASE do not mention the investigation or the potential of a special meeting to anyone as it could hinder the responses I am exploring". End Quote.

This was sent from Johnson to recommend the School Board rescind Mr. Gretzlock's contract of 2 years and only approve a 1 year contract with a pay freeze and the dismissal of his duties as Athletic Director and Transportation Director with NO explanation to the public on why he decided to make this recommendation.
- On February 11, 2021 where all board members voted unanimously to rescind the contract and only approved a 1 year contract with no pay increase, not even cost of living.

- As of today, Mr. Gretzlock is still the acting Athletic Director and Transportation Director. The Superintendent has relieved his titles but is expecting him to continue putting in the time and effort of those roles when they make it perfectly clear he is not fit for our school??

- He receives no additional pay for his role as Transportation Director which goes above and beyond his principal duties.

- Mr. Gretzlock and his entire family are in a state of uncertainty of their future and what it entails. Our students are in a state of uncertainty of what the future looks like for them. Our Teachers and Support staff are in a state of uncertainty of what the future holds for them as well.

-Please show your support for Mr. Gretzlock, his family, our students, our teachers, and the staff that are so vital for our School District to move onward AND upward!!! We believe Mr. Gretzlock is right for our school and he needs to continue to be part of our kids education for a long time! The statistics speak for themselves.

In the 7 years Mr. Gretzlock has been MS/HS principal Accountability Report Cards demonstrate a consistent measure or even significant growth. The first three years listed are from his predecessor.

These WI DPI scores tell a big story of his dedication and commitment to the students at GCSD.

We, the undersigned, call on the GSCD School Board to immediatley reinstate Mr. Patrick Gretzlock's full 2 year contract with the pay raise that goes with that. If a special board meeting needs to be called to make this happen we request it be done ASAP.

We believe he is the right fit in this position for our children at GCSD. He goes above and beyond his call of duty and is passionate about what he does. The academic scores show how dedicated he is along with the stories we here about his dedication to all students at GCSD.
