There has been a lot of landslides in the rural areas lately after heavy raining in jamaica.I think laws more laws should be enforced in Jamaica as it relates to cutting down trees and not planting them back. Plants play a vital role in our everyday life, plants release oxygen for us to breathe in,helps in the beautification in our environment and serves as an habitat for animals. Trees also act as a barrier in natural disasters such as land slippage and hurricanes. They shield some if not most buildings from being destroyed by hurricanes and also the roots hold the soil together to hinder land slippage or soil erosion.

Plants play a vital role in our everyday life, plants release oxygen for us to breathe in,helps in the beautification in our environment and serves as an habitat for animals. Trees also act as a barrier in natural disasters such as land slippage and hurricanes. They shield some if not most buildings from being destroyed by hurricanes and also the roots hold the soil together to hinder land slippage or soil erosion. This helps the government to spend less on rebuilding or fixing infrastructures.
There wont be an issue if replanting occurs after tree is being cut down.
I think national tree planting day should stress and ensures that person will pay attention to planting trees to help in our country economically. It should be publicized more educate more people about the outcome of replanting trees and also encourage them to do it.
