The James River is full of toxins that can be harmful to people and wildlife surrounding the area. We have an idea to plant sunflowers along the banks of the river to absorb toxins. Once the flowers grow, we can harvest them and dispose of them properly. Not only are we creating a beautiful, eye-appealing scenery, we are also absorbing toxins that could have a negative effect on the environment. We have think that making this a more well known issue, that we can make this a plan of action along side of the James River Association.
This petition is to get the attention of citizens and make an effort to clean the James River. The James River is full of toxins that can be harmful to people and wildlife surrounding the area. Sunflowers are appleaing to the eye as well, so we will be helping the environment as well as creating a beautiful scenery.
