Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) is a neurodegenerative disease that destroys motor neurons. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a neuromuscular disease that destroys motor neurons.
Congress was petitioned and gave approval to the ALS Association to grant Catastrophic Disability to any Veteran who has served active duty for 90 days. Why is ALS granted and no other neurological disease given this "PARDON"?
The difference between MSA and ALS - it takes you longer to die with MSA! MSA doesn't have a powerful association with lobbyist to address Congress.
Veterans with MSA deserve the same consideration as those with ALS. They are both the worst diseases you can have, they both trap you in your body while your mind still lives and suffers!
We, the Veterans of the United States of America, deserve equality. Catastophic Disability should be granted to any Veteran who had served 90 days or more of active duty and has been diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy(MSA).
Congress has granted approval to Veterans with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) which destroys motor neurons just like MSA. The difference is it takes longer to die with MSA then ALS; both trap you in your body and keep your mind alive and suffering.
