There was a power point in the waiting room in Mt Vic Station in the Blue Mountains which was removed purely to prevent the homeless from using it.
We locals would like it reinstated so that anyone needing to sleep there over night has something to provide warmth during winter.
We the undersigned call on the Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, Andrew Constance to reinstate the power point at the Mt Victoria train station (and any others that this situation may also have occurred).
Its removal simply to prevent the 'homeless' from using it is considered inhuman by the locals and we believe the minute cost of electricity is little to pay in return for a little comfort to human beings during the cold winter months in the mountains.
