With the recognition of Mr. Glenn Allison's 900 series on a display that sits inside the walls of the United States Bowling Congress Hall of Fame, we ask you to do the same for Mr. Ray Orf. Just like Mr. Allison, Mr. Orf had his 890 series thrown out of ABC official recognition for not meeting the lane dressing criteria at the time.
We feel Mr. Orf deserves his rightful spot next to Mr. Allison inside the Hall of Fame as he would have been the World Record Holder for the highest series ever shot at the time.
It is important that we recognize bowling history and honor bowling's past. There was alot of controversy surrounding the 890 series and the steps taken by the American Bowling Congress in their determination the lanes were not within compliance.
We as a bowling community want to see the WORLD RECORD ACCOMPLISHMENT finally be recognized on the grandest stage of them all.
We, the undersigned, are asking you to provide Mr. Ray Orf a place inside the USBC Hall of Fame that recognizes his accomplishment in a display that is comparable to that of Mr. Glenn Allison.
We accept it will never be "officially recognized" as a certified score. We are asking for pure acknowledgement of the feat and want it displayed accordingly.
