During the summer of 2012 Glasgow Rangers FC went into liquidation. As a result a new club, Rangers FC, was formed.
This new club is claiming the successes of its predecessor as its own, even though legally it is a new club. This must not be allowed to continue.
As an example of how things should be, during 2002 the Austrian club FC Tirol Innsbruck went into liquidation. FC Wacker Innsbruck was subsequently formed to take its place. Since then this new club has by law not been allowed to claim its predecessor's successes as its own!
How can sense prevail in one (European) country and not another?
We, the undersigned, demand that the Scottish Football Association rule that Rangers FC through being formed in 2012 is a new club and therefore has no right to claim the successes of its predecessor, Glasgow Rangers FC, as its own.
