In recent years, Malaysia has experienced a significant rise in the number of enrichment centres, driven by the growing demand for supplementary education. Many parents increasingly view these centres as essential for enhancing their children’s learning experience. However, the rapid expansion of this sector has raised concerns about the quality and consistency of the education provided.
A large number of enrichment centres operate without proper regulation or oversight, leading to inconsistencies in teaching standards, curricula, and the qualifications of educators. Many educators lack formal training in crucial areas such as mental health awareness, effective communication, and situational management, all of which are vital for creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment.
We, the International Grafinity Association (IGA), believe that the progress of a nation is deeply tied to the education of its youth. To ensure that enrichment centres contribute meaningfully to this vision, we propose the creation of an accreditation system for Educator Standards. This accreditation would ensure that educators possess the skills necessary to support the mental, emotional, and intellectual development of students. It is essential that the government takes steps to establish these standards, with assessment by approved panels to guarantee quality.

We are launching this petition to gather public support and data, urging the Malaysian government to take immediate action by establishing accreditation standards for all educators in enrichment centres. We call on Malaysia’s Kementerian Dalam Negeri (Ministry of Home Affairs) and Kementerian Sumber Manusia (Ministry of Human Resources) to adopt these standards and ensure that all enrichment centres operate with certified educators, prioritising the future of our children and the development of the nation’s talent.

We, the undersigned, call on the Malaysian government, specifically Kementerian Dalam Negeri (Ministry of Home Affairs) and Kementerian Sumber Manusia (Ministry of Human Resources), to establish and implement a nationwide accreditation of Educator Standards for all enrichment centres. This accreditation should focus on essential skills such as mental health awareness, effective communication, and situational management.
We urge the government to take swift action in regulating the education sector by creating and enforcing accreditation standards. Every educator in enrichment centres should be certified, competent, and fully equipped to provide a safe, supportive, and high-quality learning environment for our children.
