The current minimum of $6 is not enough to maintain a suitable lifestyle.
Since the cost of living is increasing the minimum wage needs to follow suit and, thus, it must be raised to a minimum of $7. If this does not occur there may be an increase in the number of homeless people because they did not have the money to pay the rent and the basic utilities nor will they be able to be able to buy food.
