Protesting horrible service on the Greater London Metropolitan area's above ground rail service

Train service has once again gone up in price for us commuters that ride any one of the many train companies that provide service into London each day.
At the same time, service seems to continually decline and overcrowding has become a huge issue, not only an issue-- but a Health and Safety problem. Have you ever been so crowded in a carriage that the doors cannot close properly? Ever miss your train to work because you cannot physically get into the carriage? This petition is for us.
What I call for is to boycott the trains for one day. This date is 16-February-09. I am not asking people walk, drive, cycle or ride the bus. What I am asking is that people don't buy tickets for this day (Underground is not included). This loss of revenue, for even one day-- will wake the corporate fat cats up and hit them where it hurts, their bottom line.
What I call for is more frequent trains during the rush hour periods and longer trains when available, so that we are not all crammed in like cattle going the slaughterhouse (or abattoir if you prefer).
With enough signatures on this petition, it will ensure that no one risks prosecution or fines for paying your fare. They cannot stop us all! So lets join together on 16-Feb-09 and take back what's rightfully ours- a free ride on the companies that get rich off us and continually give us what is one of the worst train services in Europe.
We, the undersigned, call on Southeastern, First Capital Connect, London Midland, National Express, c2c, Southern, Chiltern Railways, and South West Trains to improve the London commute for everyone that uses the train to go to work daily and stop raising prices whilst service continually declines.
In protest of the price rises this year, we vow not to pay for tickets on 16th of February, 2009. What we want are larger trains when platforms can accommodate them and we want more frequent services so that it does not put our health and safety at risk. We are tired of trying to get onto coaches that are fully occupied and there is no available space to even stand.
We are tired of people passing out from being packed on like cattle. This is all we want. We want a solid commitment that these services will improve and a timeframe of when they will be instituted. This is our chance to strike and we are taking it.
