Protect our children from bullies by publishing clear boundaries and disciplinary consequences in the school handbook

I know school hasn't started yet this year but the school board meeting was tonight and Trevor Just got home to tell me about it. And I have to say I am very disappointed in what I have heard! So now I am calling all mothers / fathers / grandparents/ teachers/ staff to stand behind me and support me in my quest to keep our children Safe!
So here is my story... Last year Kylie in the middle school was sitting in her desk and a student who was bullying her for a long period of time decided to pick her desk up and throw her in it. She got hurt, a cracked rib and a concussion. Well that sounds bad but the injustice which followed was worse! The kid whom had thrown her in the desk was made to sit in the office until school was dismissed and then was allowed to go to basketball practice and returned to school the next day as nothing had happened!
My child missed three days of education time for pain and a doctor appointment. So I took it to the school board and asked for a stronger handbook to help protect our children and now tonight they approved the same written policy from last year. The one which doesn't outline disciplinary action and rules to create expectations of behavior for the students, so when our children get hurt we have something to help us make sure they are safe in their learning environment! So we all know that we got a New principal this year and I hope he is as great as everyone says he is. And I have no reason to doubt this. But I still firmly Believe that we need to revise this written policy. So now I need volunteers to stand by me in my quest!! Who Is With ME? Please sign this Petition if you agree we need to change our handbook.
Thanks

We, the undersigned, call on the Schaller Crestland school board to improve the handbook to include disciplinary action and rules to create expectations of behavior for the students.
The school must take a stronger stance against bullying!
