We are trying to fight against inappropriate building practices on the beautiful Island of Eleuthera in The Bahamas.
There is a new project on Banks Road just South of Tippy's. It consists of three cottages being built directly adjacent to the beach. The dune was totally destroyed during initial building activity. Set-back rules are NOT being followed. It is extremely harmful to the environment. It will certainly cause massive beach and dune erosion during the next surge or hurricane.
We want this project STOPPED!
Please sign this Petition and help us stop Permit Number: CEL 086/017
We will submit this list of signatures from all concerned homeowners and visitors who want to protect this beautiful island. We cannot allow evasive building activity to get approved that negatively impacts the beaches and the environment.
This project should never have been approved to begin with. How could this happen? We support a full investigation on how this damaging project got approval and was issued a building permit, 086/017.
The beaches on Eleuthera are among the most beautiful in the world. They are also some of the most fragile. Recently, this natural beauty has been under attack by new homeowners, developers, builders, planners, and engineers who have lost focus of their responsibility to protect the natural beauty of this special place.
We must all do our part to protect the environment and Save the Beaches of Eleuthera
Please sign this petition. Thank you for your support. It is greatly appreciated.
