In May of 2005 country singer Mindy McCready was attacked and almost beat to death by her ex-boyfriend William McKnight.
This petition will ask the prosecutors office of Nashville, Davidson Co. Tn to prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law for the crimes of attempted criminal homicide and aggravated burglary for which he has been charged.
We, the undersigned fans of country singer Mindy McCready, present ourselves before Victor S. Johnson III, District Attorney General for the city of Nashville, Davidson County Tn. We present to you that on May 8, 2005 Mindy McCready was brutally attacked in her home by William P. McKnight. The beating was so brutal and severe that Dr.s have stated that she was only moments away from being killed.
We hearby plead that you, as District Attorney General and anyone in your employ prosecute William P. McKnight to the fullest extent of Tn law and that he be brought to justice for this savage attack on Mindy McCready.
We ask that the charges of attempted criminal homicide and aggravated burglary stand and beg you to not let this terrible crime go unpunished.
