Due to COVID-19 there are more parents dropping and picking their children up from school. This has now caused a major safety concern with the potential of car accidents occurring. There is no traffic restrictions at the corner of Midhurst street and Plymouth road which now has the risk of causing damage to cars. Maroondah City Council has been informed of the potential car accidents occurring at the end of Midhurst street and Plymouth road due to the fact that there is no car parking restrictions.
This petition is for all residents of the area along with other drivers that are dropping and picking up their children from the following schools Croydon Primary School, Croydon Hills Primary School, Sacred Heart Primary School, Good Shepherd Primary School, Yarra Road Primary School, Kalinda Primary School, Melba College, Yarra Valley Grammer, Luther College etc... This petition is for both residential areas of the following streets: Midhurst Street, Sevenoacks Avenue, Heathfield Court, Kirtain Drive, Binbrook Drive, Arundel Street, Broughton Avenue, Mayfield Court, Leyland Street, Highland Avenue, Maroondah Highway Service Road, Melton Grove and for all other residents that live around the area that drive down Midhurst St from Maroondah Highway to drop and pick up their child / children from school.
