Prevent Animal Testing

Animals get tested on for diseases, experiments, and future medicines, which is harmful to animals. Procon states that animal testing is cruel and inhumane because animals are forced fed, forced inhalation, food and water deprivation, prolonged periods of physical restraint, infliction of burns and wounds. Newsela also states that the usda breaks down its data by 3 categories of pain type, animals that experience pain during the research but are given drugs to calm it, animals who experience pain but are not given drugs, and animals who do not experience pain and are not given drugs. Laws have been passed in several countries to make the practice more humane but issues such as cruelty to animals and the humane treatment of animals are valid concerns so the use of animals in experimentation is greatly regulated and the total elimination of animal testing will significantly set back the development of essential medical devices, medicines, and treatment.
