Hate Crime is subjecting people to harassment, victimisation, intimidation or abuse because of their race, faith, religion, gender or disability.
If we are to have this law then subjecting people to harassment, victimisation, intimidation or abuse because of their political opinions should also be considered as a hate crime.
In Northern Ireland this is already classed as a hate crime.
We, the undersigned, call on the British Government to amend the hate crime bill so that it includes subjecting people to harassment, victimisation, intimidation or abuse because of their political opinions.
