We are against the erection of a 45 metre (148 FEET HIGH!!) wind turbine for various reasons.
This turbine is extremely big, if this application is accepted it will set a precedence for other similar developments in the area.
Do you want Lumb Valley to turn in to a wind farm?
The turbine is very large and ugly and will spoil the appearance/ landscape of Lumb Valley in Rossendale.
The turbine is located close to the pennine bridleway (Mary Towneley Loop), the turbine is likely to upset horses and it may put perspective users of the route off using the bridleway.
The turbine is likely to effect local wildlife especially the bat colony in the area, and bats are a protected species.
We, the undersigned, are against the erection of a 45 metre wind turbine at Thorn House Farm, Whitewell Bottom, Rossendale, Lancs, BB4 9RT.
