Please build a fully inclusive playpark in Co Down!

Addressed to Mr Ian ONeill,Head of leisure and Amenities @ Ards and Northdown Counil.

We are asking people in the Community to support our cause of asking North down and Ards council to build an all ability play ground and sensory area to allow children of all abilities to be fully included in our society.

At present there are a lack of special needs facilities in play parks across the Co Down Area. The very few parks that do offer specialist equipment is unfortunately, often one piece of equipment per park e.g. Wheelchair roundabout.

The main reason as to why this playground is so important is so that all children with all abilities can socialise together in the same play space and having an all inclusive playground would be a great asset not only to the families, special needs schools or the Co Down community but most of all to our beautiful children who have special needs and should be included when it comes to accessing our community playgrounds.
