In an effort to improve care throughout the industry myself and likeminded people have decided that carers should have a pin number similar to registered nurses. We would like to see carers have different bands dependant on their skill set, experience and level of care. This would be weighed up on qualifications such as the care certificate and NVQs. The more qualified and the more skills learnt the higher the band. This will also relate to carers rate of pay. The organisation behind this initiative is konnecticare. A brand new platform where carers can advertise their skillset and gain direct employment from people needing care. The carer can upload all documentation to prove their experience and skill set and provide up to date DBS. When all carers receive a PIN which would be registered this will provide people who are looking for good quality care with reassurance. So if you are a carer or someone looking for care or know someone who is looking for care then you need to sign this petition. Good quality social care also means a less of a strain on the NHS. Good care means less people going into hospital. It's a win win for everyone and we need the government to recognise this.
We, the undersigned call upon central government to provide a PIN registration for health and social care workers. The registration will provide bands similar to that of nurses. Each band target will be certain skill sets and qualifications to achieve.
