Petition of the Greenfield High School student body on new lunch policies

The purpose of this petition is to ask the Administration of Greenfield High School to change their new lunch program.

We feel that with the change from three lunches to two has created some issues. The lunch periods are only thirty minutes long and there are approximately six hundred kids in each lunch. The lunch lines are longer and there is less time to eat. Some kids are unable to even eat lunch at all.

We understand the new pressures upon the administration with the new school construction and we too respect that, however we feel that there are better suited solutions as well.

Our solution would be to open the campus for all seniors. An open campus would solve the problem of over-populated lunch periods as well as provide a reward system for the senior class.

An open campus also gives more responsibility to the seniors as well as putting them in a "real world" environment.

We believe than an open campus during lunch would be a privilege for those involved and in return could be taken away to those who abuse that privilege.

Regardless of the solution we urge the administration to pursue some sort of change.
