Due to financial constraints on the Freehold Regional High School District by Gov. Christie, as well as further financial burden placed on the school district because of the budget vote , our education is in a crisis situation.
All over the district, in the six high schools it operates, there are planned mass layoffs of educators. This will deprive students of the experience these teachers have to offer and make classrooms more crowded, leading to less individual attention for each student and restrictions in what the class is able to accomplish. Class size is directly related to student achievement.
Sign this petition if you want our educators to stay. There are other places where we can make cuts instead of where our academic education comes from. Keep our teachers in the classroom!
We, the undersigned, call on the Freehold Regional High School District's Administration to cease the firing of countless teachers, now in the end of the 2009/2010 school year, and for the 2010/2011 school year.
We depend on these teachers to give us the education we need to succeed in life. Please do not let us suffer by taking those who care so much about us and love to educate us.
