The COVID-19 pandemic has been seized upon by governments around the world as an excuse to justify the cruel, unprecedented, indefinite, and repeatable suspension of the many human rights we have as defined in the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, namely:

Article 01: “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.”
--This human right was violated in the COVID-related Government-ordered social restrictions being devised to arbitrarily apply to some people, professions, and establishments while not others, often with no medical sense to it whatsoever. For example, in some places clothing and hardware stores were forced to close but alcohol and marijuana stores were allowed to remain open.

Article02: “Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty.”
--This was violated when many Governments ordered discrimination of people based on their COVID vaccination status: residents were required to show proof of vaccination to keep their job or access certain establishments or services. Government also publicly blamed the continuance of the pandemic on the unvaccinated.

Article 3: “Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.”
--This was violated by stripping us of our free right to decide our own medical treatments, even what substances we are injected with, as many world Governments put cruel pressure on people to be COVID-vaccinated (such as: loss of livelihood, loss of access to establishments and travel, and/or loss of social services).

Article 09: “No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile.”
--This was violated when many governments arbitrarily detained people based on COVID-related excuses such as: them being international travelers, having a positive COVID test result, or being a ‘contact’ of someone whose name they never provide who they said tested positive.

Article 12: “No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks.”
--Our privacy was violated by our requirement to show our vaccination status, which is intimately personal medical information. As for honour, the honour of the unvaccinated was violated when they were publicly vilified as the reason the pandemic had not ended.

Article 13: “(1) Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state.
(2) Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country.”
--This was violated both by Governments’ lockdown orders, under which we were forbidden even to leave our homes.

Article 16: “(1) Men and women of full age, without any limitation due to race, nationality or religion, have the right to marry and to found a family. They are entitled to equal rights as to marriage, during marriage and at its dissolution.”
--This was violated by Government-imposed COVID-related restrictions on wedding ceremonies and/or reception attendance sufficient to make weddings impractical, and the travel restrictions made them impossible in some cases.

Article 18: “Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.”
--This was violated by Government declaring worship 'non-essential' and for that classification ordering places of worship to be either severely restricted in attendance or closed outright.

Article 19: "Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers."
--This was violated by Governments’ severe restriction on freedom of speech, especially automatically portraying any speech contrary to the official COVID narrative as ‘misinformation’, and actively discouraging people from listening to non-officials on this subject.

Article 20: “(1) Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association.”
--This was clearly violated, as Government outlawed social gatherings, ordered us to not come within 6 feet or 2 meters from each other, and disallowed us to visit even our mother in her nursing home.

Article 23: “(1) Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favourable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment.”
--This was violated by direct orders to stay at home, as well as vaccine mandates forcing the termination of employment of anyone who refused the injections.

Article 26: “(1) Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages. Elementary education shall be compulsory. Technical and professional education shall be made generally available and higher education shall be equally accessible to all on the basis of merit.”
--This was violated by Government-ordered school closures and forced online learning (if that was available). Even in the case of online learning, it imposed inequalities due to differences between students in the peace and technology in their home environment (which we must not assume is the same as the classroom environment).

Article27: “(1) Everyone has the right freely to participate in the cultural life of the community, to enjoy the arts and to share in scientific advancement and its benefits.”
--This was violated by ordering us to stay home and not hold social gatherings; most cultural events were prohibited and cancelled during the pandemic.

Our human rights are hard won and are the most important legal support of our quality of life. They are so important that it is to defend these rights, for example, that we send our soldiers into harm’s way, because we traditionally hold these rights more dear than life itself, and we pass them to future generations just as they were passed and entrusted to us.

Although political parties may come and go (and this is healthy for a democracy), human rights must remain absolutely inalienable. Regardless of the reality or danger of any crisis, it is not permissible for Governments to use suspension of human rights as a tool to deal with it.

It is also foolish to consent twice to something which has injured us the first time. When that harm is to the Public, it is also immoral to give that consent ever again based on that prior experience.

Specifically, if a political party ever commits any great atrocity, it is very wrong to ever vote for it again (this is why, for example, no person should vote for the Nazi party ever again no matter what it might promise: because of what it already did).

To send a political message, to protect quality of life for all of humanity forever, and to avoid moral guilt, we the undersigned, wherever we are in the world:
1) will remember the local politicians and political parties who are directly responsible for the many arbitrary and cruel social restrictions we have suffered during the COVID-19 pandemic, and
2) we promise to NEVER vote for those politicians or political parties ever again, due to the enormous betrayal of the Public trust which their social restrictions have been.
