Certainly an icon of our community, on February 12, 1982 our beloved son, our brother, our friend Rodney Wayne Long was murdered in cold blood by David Frey. On March 12, 1982 David Frey was imprisoned and given a life sentence as the death penalty in Tennessee at that time had been suspended. Since then his sentence has been eligible for parole many times. We have sent our pleas and arrived in person to make sure that his sentence was furthered.
Thirty Seven years later our fight still continues. We still need your help by lending your signature and voice to oppose anything less than his last breath while incarcerated. There is no closure for family of the heinous crime committed to their son, the nightmares remain for friends after such a devastating loss.
