I have started this petition in an attempt to have the Breed Specific Legislation overturned.
The BSL was introduced in 1991 banning 4 dogs from further importation:
Fila Brasileiro (Brazilian Mastiff)
Dogo Argentino
Japanese Tosa
American Pit Bull Terrier or Pit Bull Terrier
A fifth dog the Presa Canario was added in 2005.
I am asking for your help in overturning the law, and preventing eventual extinction of these breeds in Australia.
It is about time we start punishing the deed not the breed.
I have a Fila Brasileiro (Brazilian Mastiff) and I am fighting for him.
