Dear Mister Stockselius
We, undersigned, would like to make two suggestions on how to ameliorate the televoting system in terms of fairness.
First we ask you to give equal weight of each vote casted. At the moment this is not the case. People from countries with less citizens have more to say in the final result than people from larger countries. This is not fair.
There are a few ways to give equal weight to every vote. One possibility is to count the votes on a European level, instead of looking at them at a national level. Another possibility is to multiply the points given by a larger country by a certain factor. This factor should be based on the population of the country.
Secondly, because the music and the acts are getting better and better each year, it is a mistake to think people have one favourite song. Voters all over Europe have to choose between several songs they really like. With the high quality of the songs and acts this choise is very hard. However, when people choose one song, this doesn't mean they think other songs don't deserve to win.
Therefore, we ask you to introduce a system where people can vote on two or three songs, in the order they like best.

These two adjustments will make the televoting more fair, and the results more differentiated. This is in advantage of the people who vote, of the musicians and of the Europian Song Contest as a whole.
