The Mayor of Madisonville, KY has targeted privately owned golf courses. These courses have been closed by the Mayor without any factual evidence to support his decision. Madisonville Country Club and Lakeshore Country Club are 2 of the only courses in the state of Kentucky that have been closed by local government. The Governor of Kentucky, Andy Beshear, has stated that golf courses will remain open unless social distancing isn't being practiced.
The unfounded closure of these privately owned golf courses will result in them closing their doors permanently causing a drastic drop in home values for hundreds of homeowners.
