As inflation hits an all time high, everyone is struggling so when supermarkets like NQR pop up in your area, you welcome them with open arms.
We are very happy it has arrived at Mount Waverley. The shop has not long opened up in Mount Waverley and it’s gathering lots of interest amongst the community as more and more ppl seem to be shopping there.
There is a very small carpark that is located next to the groups of shops and there is never enough spaces for everyone to do there shopping with cars doing laps or driving off due to no carparks.
Beside the small carpark is a vacant block of land that we are hoping becomes another joined carpark to make our shopping experience better.
We the undersigned ask the Monash Council to please kindly consider expanding the current carpark at 331 Waverley Road, Mount Waverley to 329 Waverley Road, Mount Waverley so that there may be more parking. There are a few reasons I will list off as to why we need it.
1. Increased traffic: The current parking situation is causing congestion and inconvenience for shoppers due to limited spaces.
2. Business impact: Insufficient parking spaces discourage customers from visiting the shopping strip, potentially leading to a decline in business for local shops and the possible cause of the closing down of shops.
3. Accessibility: It is however important in providing adequate parking options for people with disabilities, parents with young children, and not to forget the elderly.
4. Safety concerns: There are multiple safety issues that arise from the lack of parking, such as people parking illegally or in unsafe areas. Waverley road is a very busy road being on the cnr or Stephensons road and there is no on street parking besides the small carpark that is already there.
Please help us by signing this petition to take action for this much needed carpark.
