No Underground Car-park at Bondi Beach!

Why is Waverley Council even considering spending money on this???? An underground car park and full pedestrianisation of Queen Elizabeth Drive (QED) is completely unworkable for the many Waverley and surrounding suburb residents who use QED every single day, let alone the community clubs that rely on this facility on a regular basis throughout the year.

Waverley Council MUST consider its' local community and not simply the image it wants to portray to tourists and visitors that ultimately spend ZERO time here and do not have a vested interest in the place!!

Numerous facilities and groups have been able to thrive and become a valuable part of the beach-side community for many decades for a range of reasons. One of these reasons is the relatively easy access and egress to and from the beach and availability of close parking for members, especially those with surf craft.

The current proposal does not have regard to this factor and should in our respectful view be reconsidered. If it proceeds it will have a profoundly adverse impact on the amenity and enjoyment of many.
