The Chemawa/Bailey RD sight that the Salem Mass transit has picked for the new transit is not a good suitable location with it being a residential area. There is no need for a Transit center in Keizer. The crime rate would increase. Also would cause more traffic that is not needed.
Incidents at transit stations all over including the one in Salem in the last few years have included gang fights, one of which resulted in a fatal stabbing. In another, a gang member was shot in the leg while waiting for a bus. Law enforcement officers regularly deal with gang members who loiter at transit centers.
Along with lots of other crimes. This is not something we need in Keizer.
We, the undersigned, do not want the transit station Built in Keizer at location of Chemawa/Bailey RD.
