Lot 1 DP 874316 which is the golf driving range on Piggabeen Road has been purchased and is currently undergoing assessment by The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal ( IPART) in relation to a request to utilise the site as a Waste Water Treatment Plant.
The development is being advanced by Leda and related company ( Northern Water Solutiones) as part as a broader private water and sewer scheme to service Cobaki development. Council will NOT be involved in the assessment process of the licence application to IPART. However, Council will be provided an opportunity , as will any other concerned residents, to make a submission to IPART during the public consultation period ( which according to IPART is likely to start around the end of February/ early March 2017 for a four week period).
Concerns such as odour control can be raised at such time and it will be up to IPART to apply applicable licence requirements / conditions. If Northern Water Solutions are successful in obtaining a licence, the NSW EPA ( Enviroment Protection Agency would then be involved with assessment of the Part 5 application and the issuing of an environmental protection licence, which would likely include odour restrictions.
We, the undersigned don't want a sewage plant on Lot 1 DP 874316 (the former golf driving range) on Piggabeen Rd for the development of Cobaki lakes.
We suggest to put the sewage plant amongst the development and not in between our lifestyle estates.
