No Parking in Hartwell Street

The residents of Hartwell Street are requesting the town place no parking signs on both sides of the street from 7:00 am to 12:00pm Monday thru Friday excluding Holidays.

We are experiencing problems caused by the daily commuters using our block as a parking lot. The commuters park their cars in front of our homes all day and most of the evening while they go to work in the city.

This poses a threat to our neighborhood and tremdous amount of stress for the residents because:

1. We have a lot of difficultly getting in and out of our driveways,

2. Visiting Family, friends, and service people are unable to find parking spaces,

3. The town cannot clean the street or pick up the leaves during the fall (the conmuters will park right on top of the leaves),

4. We fear for the safety of our children with so many parked cars drivers are unable to see any child that may stray into the street,

5. It has become impossible for two cars to pass each other and drivers turning onto Hartwell street cannot see drivers coming out of the block.
