No more money-grabbing, character-destroying developments in Bounds Green

Residents of Bounds Green need to ask the Council to draw a line at developments that simply demolish our fine, well built family houses and grab gardens in our attractive residential area with absolutely no regard for the local community.
The proposed development at 35 Maidstone Road is low quality, high density housing and has been initiated by foreign developers who are only motivated by profit. Several families wanted to buy the house at 35, but the developers were able to price them out.
The precedents that this sets could easily lead to a domino affect in Bounds Green particularly in roads like Maidstone Road, with its large family houses with good size gardens. That's why it's in the interest of everyone in Bounds Green to stop this now.
We, the signers of this petition, object strongly to the proposed plans to demolish the period family home at 35 Maidstone Road to replace it with a development of a fully unsuitable design and scale (application HGY/2016/1430).
