This petition is to have the NCDOT evaluate and provide a solution to reduce the number of accidents that occur at the intersection of New Salem and East Lawyers Rd.
We as the supporters of this petition would like to have the NCDOT evaluate and provide a detailed plan to reduce the number of accidents that occur at New Salem and Lawyers Rd. This would require a change in how the intersection is treated for traffic flow. This may require moving the road, changing the sight line of the road, installing speed deterrent devices or making it a 4-way stop.
