The city of Vineland has developed a new complex on Montrose Street in Center City Vineland. They will be looking for names for the K-5th grade school.
We are asking that you support the naming of the school as Ramos School after Carmelo Ramos. Carmelo Ramos' career covers 34 years in the educational field.
His career began in 1969 when he was a teacher of English as a Second Language at Vineland High School, Principal of the Dr. William Mennies Elementary School, Principal of Dr. Cunningham Elementary School, an Adjunct Faculty member at Cumberland County College, and finally ending his career serving fourteen years as Assistant Principal of Vineland High School North.
He generously gave his time and energy to a number of community organizations and served his country in the Army during the Korean War Conflict. Please help me in honoring his name.
We, the undersigned, call on the Board of Education to acknowledge our support for the naming of the K-5th grade Elementary School after Mr. Carmelo Ramos.
