Thank you for your support! We will be asking our Councillor to present our request to the City of Toronto.
This petition is being put before the City of Toronto via Councilor Davis to name the above mentioned laneway in honour of Vincenza Angelone.
Vincey (as she is affectionately known) moved to the neighbourhood from Italy when she was five years old, and lived in the same house on Woodmount Avenue until she was married. She attended St. Brigid Elementary School followed by Notre Dame Catholic High School.
Vincey then became Mrs. Angelone when she began teaching at St Brigid, and she stayed there for the entirety of her teaching career, retiring in 2015 after 46 years. Mrs. Angelone directly taught over 1000 children during her time at St. Brigid, but had a positive effect on thousands of others through her role in the school, the church and the community.
We, the undersigned, support having the laneway named: ANGELONE’S WAY, or ANGELONE LANE.
