The Exmouth Community Markets Inc (ECMI) would like to move their location to Ferderation Park for 2014 onwards.
ECMI have previously been denied this option due to a local government clause that states they can not operate within 300m of the shopping mall.
ECMI would like to overturn this rule as it is seen as antiquated and the advantages of having the markets at Federation Park will far out-weigh any dis-advantages.
We, the undersigned call on the Shire of Exmouth to overturn the 300m rule so that the local markets can now operate at the beautiful newly refurbished Federation Park.
It is of our opinion that local shops will benefit from the increased foot traffic generated by the markets.
