Violence among prisoners has always been a problem and it is one that prison officers and guards make every effort to stop, but there is only so much they can do.
Guards cannot be everywhere, all of the time, but CCTV cameras can.
We firmly believe that if we increase the number of cameras in prisons, then we will reduce the amount of prisoner on prisoner violence in the UK.
We, the undersigned, call on David Cameron to introduce measures to increase the number of CCTV cameras in prisons in the UK in an attempt to reduce the level of violence that occurs between prisoners.
We think it is a fiscally reasonable demand that will help victims without putting any extra strain on existing prison guards and officers.
