The aim of the petition is to bring public awareness to a disastrous situation, engineered by an indifferent landlord (Calgary City Council), resulting in a Life Altering decision adversely affecting hundreds of tax paying citizens.
The residents of Midfield Park are human. They are homeowners, veterans, retirees, families, community volunteers, and contributors. They deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. Forcing them onto the street by refusing to provide any viable alternative is simply unacceptable.

We, the undersigned wish to let it be known this 19th day of June 2014, we are banding together as a caring compassionate society against the immoral tactics being used by the Calgary City Council to oust the homeowners and residents of Midfield Mobile Home Park without provision of any alternative, or any voice in the matter.
We are of the view, any important meetings and decisions involving this community should not have occurred behind closed doors - all reports, meetings, plans and decisions need to involve the Midfield community residents/homeowners and be made public.
We insist that Calgary City Council honour their commitments and provide positive alternatives to the homeowners/residents of Midfield by undertaking the following:
1) Repair/replace the infrastructure within the park & implement a financially viable plan for homeowners to be able to start to replace older homes with new as per ARP.
Or, 2) with the Midfield homeowners full involvement - build a new park, move and set them up at no cost what-so-ever to them,
And, 3) Provide alternate low cost housing opportunities within their current community to all residents wanting to remain in the community.
