When a no-contact order is placed on an individual to protect them from harming their victim, that is understandable. But what if the victim contacts the assailant? If the assailant responds, they get slapped with a no-contact order violation.
What does the victim get? Nothing. No matter what they say to the assailant, even if its death threats, they get in no trouble. Lets band together and change this!
We, the undersigned, call upon the Idaho Rules of Civil Procedure, Idaho Department of Corrections and Idaho Senators Mike Crapo and Jim Risch to allow charges of a no-contact order violation to be pressed on either party written on aforementioned no-contact order.
We call upon them to allow parties with a no-contact order against them to press charges against the other party for contacting them, just as they may do the same against them.
