The British taxpayer is currently funding interpreter's fees for foreigners in the UK when they attend Court or claim benefits. This is a waste of our resources.
The Department for Work and Pensions offers translators in 165 languages and used interpreters 271,695 times from October 2010 to September 2011.
In other countries, eg France, this would not happen.
We the undersigned call on the government to make all foreigners pay for their own interpreting fees.
