Soccer, Football, Basketball are all sports that can be played at High Schools. These sports can have fee prices from $150-$275 just for being able to play the sport.
The fee prices vary depending on the sport, The question we may ask ourselves is "what if we do not have this amount of money?. Does this mean we can not play?" Hundreds of children across Canada aren't able to engage in school sports due to the expensive fees that follow. having to pay sports fees may not seem like a big issue to students.
This is because majority of the students do not pay out of their own pockets. If we do not lower sports fees prices, there will be no school teams left within the next 10 years.
We the students of Seaquam Secondary call on youth and parents to help fight for lower school sports fees.
