Longbridge roundabout in Horley is at the junction of the A23 and the A217, along with a small local road. This roundabout has a set of traffic lights that when operating cause considerable congestion.
This causes delays to peoples journeys and an increase in local CO2 emissions due to traffic jams. This must amount to hundreds of tonnes per month. When the lights are turned off, traffic flows freely. These lights serve no purpose.
We, the undersigned, call on you to consider the local environment and remove the traffic lights situated on the Longbridge roundabout in Horley.
They considerably delay traffic, increasing journey times and pollute the local atmosphere with increased CO2 emissions due to this hold up.
Thank you.
