Despite a £1.7m pot of cash to improve bus services across Westmorland and Furness, Sedbergh was allocated ZERO pounds! Which means we are potentially losing the 563 Stagecoach bus that connects the communities of Sedbergh, Kirkby Stephen, Penrith and Kendal. (Effective end of March 2025).
Public transport is essential for keeping communities connected while reducing the number of cars on the road and cutting harmful emissions, including carbon pollution and other air pollutants.
Sedbergh Parish Council have been fighting hard to keep this service, but they have not yet been heard. We also have the support of Tim Farron MP and Cumbria Sustainability Network.
Please sign up to save our bus service and make sure that Sedbergh stays connected!
