Let's get windows that open in Queens Hall classrooms at Queens College

The classrooms in Queens Hall do not open and when the weather changes, because the air-conditioning and heating systems are on a calendar schedule and not a weather schedule, the classrooms become unbearably hot and stale.

As classrooms heat up, students lose the ability to focus and keep their attention on the class being taught, and in some instances fall asleep. Also, if there were to be a fire located within the hallway that leads to any of the classrooms, the rooms become a death trap because there is no egress directly from the classroom by any means besides having to attempt to break through the window, which looks to be at least half an inch thick. This is not safe for anyone.

Thus we are asking you, the administrators and board at Queens College, to change out some of the windows in each of the classrooms in Queens Hall for windows that can be opened if necessary, either for air circulation or for quick egress.
