On average, students in middle school get at least 3.2 hours of homework per night. While grades K-5 get 2.9 hours a week, and high school has 7 hours a week. Also, half of the time, what we are required to know in school is not going to help us in our career. Unless you become some sort of math person and are required to memorize compliments to a probability, you won't know how too do that. So instead of getting a worksheet on having to describe 12 different characters from a book you don't even want too read, we should be getting homework, starting in middle school, that teaches you how to pay your taxes or how to write a check. Basically on how to be an adult like knowing how to nail your dream job and such.
So I believe, that us, whether you are a boy or a girl, black or white, gay or straight, student or adult, sign my petition on making us become adults and teach us the way of life instead of the rules of PEMDAS. If you would like to help make a change, sign my petition and watch you help make a change by lessening teen suicide because of stress and anxiety, by making kids not feel determined based off a letter grade and make us be determined by the way we focus and our determination and our passion for something and how we strive for greatness based on how much we love this thing and not by math problems. so sign this petition and make a change.
