Early in 2011 Barnet council informed clients and staff of Apthorp Lodge and Dell Field Court, two care homes operated in Barnet by the Fremantle Trust, of the discovery of legionella bacteria in their water supply.
We understand treatment of the water supply has begun; however, we have a number of serious concerns about how this was allowed to happen and who is ultimately responsible. We believe this matter is in the Public Interest and are calling on the Department of Health to investigate the matter.
