legalize marijuana

Most people in the United States are split on their beliefs of making marijuana legal. Using marijuana should be a personal choice, it shouldn’t be illegal. A quote from goodreads that Richard Nixon said ““Federal and state laws (should) be changed to no longer make it a crime to possess marijuana for private use.” and another quote stated Bill Hicks said,““Why is marijuana against the law? It grows naturally upon our planet. Doesn’t the idea of making nature against the law seem to you a bit . . . unnatural?”. On the other hand others believe that using marijuana can lead to behavioral and medical issues, and its overall wrong to use. A part of an argument stated “If marijuana is to be treated as medicine, then it needs to meet the same standards of quality, effectiveness, and safety we would expect of any other prescription drug." That can impose that they think that marijuana isn’t safe to use and it isn’t as effective as a “normal” medication. That's against the fact that marijuana has help many people with medical conditions such as PTSD, Cancer, Epilepsy, insomnia, and many, many more dieases. In many cases Marijuana worked to help numerous dieases and sicknesses when other “normal” medication wouldn’t be as reliable. People deserve the right to use marijuana for their own, and use what is best for them.
